Natural Remedies For
Acid Reflux - Learn What Works.
Acid reflux
is an uncomfortable feeling that causes irritation and
frustration.
In many cases, the symptoms of acid reflux can be taken care
of with antacids like the ones you see on commercials all the
time, or acid reflux can even be maintained with the help of
doctor prescribed medications. For some people, these options
are not ideal as most products that offer acid reflux relief
have ingredients that aren’t natural and aren’t always
needed.
In these cases, people tend to wonder what it is they can do
to provide themselves with natural remedies
for acid reflux. Because the companies like Tums
or Rolaids don’t want you to turn to something else for your
acid reflux relief, they make sure they monopolize the market
making it hard to find other remedies, let alone information
about natural remedies for acid reflux relief. In fact, there
are natural ways to help maintain acid reflux!
Natural Remedy Options
for Acid Reflux
Eat bread, rice and potatoes. These foods are always on the
“do not eat” list because of their high carbohydrate count, but
these foods do wonders for soaking up acidic fluids in your
stomach. This method doesn’t require you to over eat carbs, but
by having even one piece of bread, a half cup of rice or half a
potato during a full meal, you can dramatically decrease the
amount of acid reflux you experience after eating.
Limit your ibuprofen. This kind of medication can really
tear up your stomach causing acid reflux so bad that it wakes
you up while you’re sleeping at night. Try a different method
of curing headaches or body pain to see whether or not the
medication you usually take is adding to your acid reflux
problem.
Don’t smoke! Not only is smoking bad for your health all
around, but it’s known to cause and/or irritate already present
acid reflux. This means that smoking is a double threat for
people prone to acid reflux disease.
Stay away from spicy foods. Even foods you don’t think taste
spicy can play a big role in creating acid reflux, so knowing
what’s in your food and knowing to stay away from food with
spices in them is a great way to naturally remedy acid reflux.
This isn’t to say you are limited to nothing but bland foods
now, it just means be as liberal as possible when eating spices
that can irritate your stomach to the point of being in
pain.
